The goal this article is from some maroon communities in the southern region of the country – Canguçu and Piratini (RS) –, examine how they represent privileged areas for the production of "content" involving the translation of what is culture and African and african-Brazilian history, as well as for education of ethnic-racial relations. The Law 10639/03 and Quilombola School Education as a new type of education of the Brazilian educational system, enhances actions and reflections that tend to consolidate innovated cartography in this territory called curriculum that has been permanently disputed by the black population and maroon so that education is a mechanism through which arise possibilities achievements in the field of materials dignity and also at the scope of interpersonal relationships.
