Homiletics in sign language
possibilities of christian homiletics for deaf people in the contemporary context

This article aims to show possibilities of a Christian homiletics in the Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) for deaf people in the contemporary context, with the fundamental premise the concept of inclusion of deaf people in the Christian sphere. The understanding of Christian homiletics inexcusable considers a reinterpretation of: what is Christianhomiletics? From a critical view of the communication elements and their advances, we consider important to treat the influence of these elements within the Christian community, so that we may ask, what is the degree of interference of the media in the Christian preaching? Thus, we present the noises that prevent the Christian message to be persuasive to the world in the context of the twenty-first century. This is a bibliographical and documentary research, with qualitative data processing. The study indicated that the media may become a challenge for those who proclaim the Word of God and the need for a Christian homiletics in sign language for deaf people in the contemporary sphere.
