This article aims to analyze the influence of the enchantment in the ceramic art produced in the locality of Maruanum, located in the rural zone of the city of Macapá. The production of this art and the maintenance of the tradition of create-know-how of the pieces rests with the women known as the Maruanum Louceiras. It is a study that used the phenomenological hermeneutic methodology, with an exploratory basis of qualitative nature focused on field research, on-site observation and interview as a form of investigation. The theoretical contribution points to studies of Costa (2014), Nunes Filho (2003), among others. As a result of this research, we find that the craft of creating-know-how of Maruanum Louceiras is permeated by respect for the mystical being "Mother of clay" or "Grandmother". The whole process of production of the pottery is based on the permission of the "Mother of clay", with the removal of the clay until the thanks for the good burning of the piece. These women have a subjective connection with the enchanted and the belief rooted in the "Mother of clay", influence transferred from generation to generation, because the dishes have transcendence of indigenous and African cultures in their relationship with local nature (kills, rivers, land And forest) and this relationship is materialized today in ceramics, an artistic activity surrounded by the forces of enchantment.
