Education of racial ethnic relations in an undergraduate education course at UNISINOS

The discipline of Education of Racial Ethnic and Cultural Relations was implemented in the undergraduate curriculum at the School of Basic Education at UNISINOS. This paper presents a profile of students and describes the main methodological procedures adopted by the teacher, as well as the production of five instructional videos as a major learning outcomes of a class.This is a case study of 28 students who are accompanied by a semester and answer questionnaires at the beginning and end, and are filmed five educational workshops developed by the students which give origin to videos posted on the internet as academic socialization. The class introduces students of almost all degrees, had a dropout of 18%, the majority is woman, just one declares itself brown and consider that the main merits of the discipline was to make space broad and frank debate on the issue and their relationships with other social and cultural issues, as well as make the experience of teaching procedures in school settings
