Law 10.639/03 in understanding of physical education teachers

Doubts about the effective implementation of Law 10639/03 are widely expressed and numerous criticisms directed the different spheres of federal, state and municipal timidity of public policies formulated so far, as well as the complexity of the realities of schools that do not show as permeable legal frameworks LDB and its curriculum guidelines. This paper presents some insights of the physical education teachers about their responsibilities to culture African-Brazilian and African. It is a case study with two physical education teachers from one of the largest schools of São Leopoldo / RS who underwent semi-structured interviews and duly authorized where were preserved the main ethical procedures and approval with the Certificate of Appreciation Presentation ethics (CAAE) 10338312.2.0000.5344. Despite presenting divergent profiles in general are uninformed about the content of the law, because the overlap with the Quota Law and say that "things should not come from the top down," as the approaches to ethnic groups "should come from interest teachers, without the need for a law obliging them to it. "Manifest themselves unprepared to work dances, poultry or other related crops but admit that Physical Education has great power of acceptance among students, constituting a strategic component in the school curriculum.
