Keywords:
Sociolinguistics, Popular culture, Regionalism, PoetryAbstract
The present study presents Cordel Literature as one of the elements to work with linguistic variations in Portuguese Language classes, in Elementary School. From the analysis of texts, directions are pointed out that can help in the teaching activity, enabling the formation of the student in relation to language and its multiple forms. Readings of theorists and cordelists were carried out, in order to show and prove the need to work more comprehensively on the aforementioned contents. The present study presents possibilities for debating and offering proposals on the thesis theme that can help in the mother tongue teaching process. The work, whose objective is to improve the communicative and interactive capacity between people and the world in which they live, seeks to broaden knowledge focused on popular culture, regional speeches and the breaking of paradigms in relation to the teaching of contextualized grammar.
