African-Brazilian religiosity in comics

Religion is a common issue in the comics, from earlier Old Testament adaptations to Budha’s biography. In Brazil, African religions have been represented in a negative way, always associated to black magic. Only in recent years, there was a change in this representation with a better comprehension of candomble’s and umbanda’s rites and entities role.
