Keywords:

Brazil is a nation that presents an expressiveness of religious diversity, rousing several academic discussions. One of these recent and very much considered questions is that of religious intolerance, which disproves the idea that we live in a religious democracy. Quite the opposite, the nowadays facts show a scenery too much violent and competitive among several religions. In this paper, then, I analyse the point of limit of such a context based on “Kailane case”, when religious intolerance strikes children, specifically those of Candomblé, as well as the consequences of the violation of individual freedom of infant corporeity.
