The text analyzes part of the universe of the relations that make up the territoriality of the quilombolas of Júlio Borges. The scenario is set in the context of the implementation of justice mechanisms for land regularization of the territory inhabited by quilombola families living in the town of Júlio Borges, Salto do Jacuí, RS. In this area, besides the quilombola families, there are two Kaingang collectives and nineteen landless families. With the titling of the area, new public policies reached the region, making the presence of the State a destructive component of the way of life of these collectives. Drawing on the contributions of post-social anthropology, the study focused on the native categories that operate as referents of the relations between quilombolas and kaingang peoples.
