This article aims to analyze the motivations that propelled the Assembly of God of Belém do Pará to begin the process of implementation of Pentecostal religiosity in Macapá in 1916. For this we start from a social historical reconstruction of the period, marked by an intense migratory flow to the Amazon valley, by the national development ideology, the great projects of industrialization and the socioeconomic conditions that the populations of Macapá were. We adopted as methodology to elucidate this process content analysis and bibliographic review. We realize that the process of implementation was marked by intense conflicts between both poles of the religious power, until then, between the Catholicism consolidated here and the Pentecostal movement, and finally we try to understand the successive stages adopted by the Pentecostals to attract believers to their religiosity , we perceive that Pentecostalism coupled itself organically in the migratory flow, marking its pulverization of its religious message in the midst of the intense transit between the migrants in the Amazon valley.
